This print is the right part of a triptych. The title reads "Kyűhei kaika: genpei kurabe" (旧弊開化 盛衰くらべ) which can roughly be translated to "Battle of old fashions and new civilizations".

It was printed in 1877 and signed Kaidôkyű ga (梅堂狂画). This signature belongs to Utagawa Kunisada III aka Utagawa Kunimasa IV (1848-1920).
