It's a 'haikai surimono' with an original design by Zeshin of a noh mask of Okame (or Ofuku) - signed 'Zeshin' and sealed 'Tairyűkyo', together with sixteen haikai poems, all signed at the base.

The cyclical date given in het first column left, is 壬申卯春 (Mizunoe-saru u-haru) which - if I'm right - corresponds with the 3rd month of 1872.

Many of Zeshin's original designs on surimono from the late Edo, early Meiji period were duplicated and re-issued on a commercial base often in the square format but also and in various other paper formats after his death.
