This makes sense. There are no publisher's marks. There is a faint penciled inscription at the bottom in German: WACHTEL NACH HOKU TOSA 1720 (Quail after Hoku Tosa 1720). Seems misleading or possibly just an inaccurate assessment.

It would be interesting to know if this is a complete fabrication in the style of Kazutoki / Ittoku, or if it is a woodblock reproduction of an actual painting with the same quail/flowers.
