In a first step I ordered the known diptychs of Utagawa Toyonobu’s series „Shinsen Taikōki“ according to the mokuroku.
One konwn diptych isn’t still in sequence; it doesn’t match with any other diptych and bears no text cartouche, so it’s most probably part of a multisheet composition (or maybe the other part/s never has been printed). It’s a siege scene with the name cartouches of Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu and a third unread name. Just now I couldn’t find out, which battle is depicted and where it could be placed in the sequence. Any idea about this „last“ print?
The series is at http://www.kunisada.de/Toyonobu-Taikoki/Toyonobu-Taikoki-new.html
