Well, I believe you were right too, manuD. There seems to have been at least four different ukiyo-e artists using the name Kunimasa during the 19th century. Kunisada III (1848-1920) was one of them. He became Kunisada III in 1889, and before that he used the artist names Kunimasa IV and H˘sai, so probably the prints signed Kunimasa in the mid-1870s are his works.
