Here is what I wrote in that thread:


The signature (upper left cartouche) reads "Nagashima Mōsai ga" 永島孟斎画, and belongs to the artist more usually known as Utagawa Yoshitora.

The publisher seal (circular seal near lower right) belongs to Daikokuya Kinzaburō.

This design depicts the Satsuma Rebellion (1877).


As an additional observation, the print appears to be part of a multi-sheet design, probably a triptych. I have not been able to locate an image of the full design.
