You are probably referring to a print depicting Oguri Hangan and his horse standing on a go board.
Looking at the signature, this musha-e by Kunisada must be very early and could date from c. 1810.
This print bears a publisher's mark of Nishimuraya Yohachi (Eijud˘), one of the most prominent publishers at that time in Edo. I guess that the print published by the unidentified publisher 'Kan˘' must be a second state/reissue, but also dating from the same early period.
