The print is by Kunisada III (published 1897/98 by Fukuda Hatsujirō), see Andreas Marks, Genji's World in Japanese Woodblock Prints, p. 256. Here the print is trimmed left and right into the design, also the margins top and buttom are trimmed off. This series has been designed after the pattern of the older series by Kunisada I. Marks writes: "Kunisada III#s reinterpretation exhibits some changes in the setting, but the poses of the figures are almost identical to His figure: Related Copies of Other Pictures. The most significant differens between the two series is the color scheme, ..."
