The waseda print no. 002-1213 depicts Ichikawa Danjūrō VII in the role of Otokonosuke (荒獅子男之助) in an Edo performance of "Sugata no hana azuma no date zome" and is the right sheet of a kabuki diptych by Kunisada from 1812.
The print here is by the Ōsaka artist Yoshikuni, so it's obvious that the print depicts a Kamigata production. The actor is Nakamura Utaemon III and he staged as Otokonosuke in 1821 in the play "Hagi ha Sendai Na ha Matsumoto" (see kabuki21).
