It's a kabuki diptych by Kunisada I, here signing "Toyokuni ga". Depicted are (from left) Kataoka Nizaemon VIII and Onoe Waichi II as tabibito (= traveller) Machihinya (旅人待品屋) and tabibito Matsucho (旅人松蝶) in the play "iroha gana kogane no sashimono", performed at the Nakamura theatre. Publihser is Ebiya Rinnosuke and date 9/1857.
