I was puzzled by the placement of Shunman's name on the design; it looks more like a poet's signature than an artist's. And Shunman was, after all, known as a poet himself, contributing poetry to prints designed by others (Hokusai, Utamaro, Eishi).

But I have found an example of a print attributed to Shunman with Shunman's name in a "poet position" only -- see this example in the Spaulding Collection (MFA Boston):

It, too, features a courtly-looking lady attired in the Heian style.
