Well, you've supplied excellent pictures, but the identity of the artist is a mystery to me. I believe the signature is 勢舟, perhaps read "Seishū", but I can't find any information about an artist signing with this name.
Maybe it's the work of a shin-hanga artist doing "Hiroshigesque" landscapes for the export market? That's my best guess, but it's only a guess. Also, does that seal just *happen* to look like a baseball, or is it *meant* to look like a baseball? Altogether mysterious...
