I’ve been able to gather most of the information on this Yoshitaki print. It appears to be Arashi Rikan VI on the left in the role of Koshimoto Okiku -- こしもとお菊 -- in the play Banshû Sarayashiki -- 播州皿屋鋪. On the right I believe are his kabuki ancestors, Arashi Rikan I, II and III.
I think the title of the print may be: Five Virtues: Faith -- Gojo no uchi: Shin 五情之内:信 – probably some of the information in the larger cartouche on the left hand print. Is that what the info in the cartouche is? Is there more?
The signature on the left appears to be Ichiyōtei Yoshitaki ga
The signature on the right has three lines, with the last two appearing to be Ichiyōtei Yoshitaki ga. but I have no idea what the first one on the right is. Ideas?
And any ideas as to what the writing at the top part of the left hand print is?
Thanks for your help!
