I don't have any great insight here, but my one critique is that you seem to assert that Eisen didn't do any work in a similar vein to the pseudo-Kōhō design. But I would suggest that many of Eisen's landscapes are actually not too far from this, at least in terms of genre. I'm thinking particularly of some of the 23 designs Eisen did for the Eisen/Hiroshige series "Sixty-nine Stations of the Kisokaidō Road":
Other than that, I think it's an interesting summary, and I always appreciate any information about the highly confusing output of Shima!
