The design comes from the early 1840s series "Tōto meisho" 東都名所 ("Famous Places in the Eastern Capital"), published by Nunokichi 布吉. This design is "Asukayama hanazakari" あすかやま花盛 ("Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom at Asuka Hill").
