Thanks for your e-mail. Unfortunately I still haven't figured out why you can't post your messages in this forum.

These are your questions about the prints above:

- What does the Japanese writing say?
- Is there a way to find out who the actors in the portraits are specifically?
- What type of Japanese theater is depicted (kabuki, etc)?

As for your third question, there was a very strong connexion between ukiyo-e prints and the kabuki theatre. Iwai Hanshir˘ and Segawa Rok˘ were members of famous kabuki actor families.
