Hello Horst, thanks for your reply! And that makes sense. If the old plates are lost or destroyed, the they probably have to make an whole new plate, still the stamps are the same, so maybe they were partially broken. Anyway, this rules out the option that Vincent van Gogh, who owned this woodblock print and who is know for copying them by hand as a practice, made this copy :(. Still I like this old print, and going to frame it behind museumglass to preserve it from futher decay. Thanks for your trouble, best regards, Hans
